1ST SESSION 26/06/16 (20 mins)

WARM UP (20 MINS)

This warm up we asked the players to move quickly through the poles for 20 seconds until a coach gave a command to go outside to feeders where they were asked to complete a technical skill (pass, volley, heading or control) before returning o the poles in the centre again.

Players swapped over after a series of technical skills were completed.

POWER & AGILITY (20 mins)

In this section we worked on the running technique (arm and foot movement)

First drill was concentrating on the power through agility cones then driving over the hurdles

second drill was the speed ladders and working on speed of movement and thought in a series of fast feet techniques.

Players were split into 2 groups and swapped over after 10 mins

POSSESSION (20 MINS)

POSSESSION GAME WITH A 2 TOUCH CONDITION PUT ON IT.

Players encouraged to express themselves by playing different positions on the park,creating triangles to eliminate opponents with crisp passing and capitilising on overload situations to score with a one touch finish where possible.

SHAPING AND COOL DOWN ( 20 MINS)

Working on how we shape up in games in our 1-4-3-3 formation.

Talked to the players on how our formation works and what is expected from people in each positin.

After this we did our cool down to complete our 90 minute session.
