Warm up

x3 running lines 5yrds apart players to maintain 5yrd distance when warmin up. 15-20 mins

With one squad only use out side cones with full squad use all 3 lines and seperate players equally.

Start slow to build up:

1: Slow jog out walk back x2

2: Slow jog out walk back x2

3:Open the gates walk back

4:Close the gates walk back

5:Stretch out leg to hand x1

6:Side skips facing each way with hand claps x2

7:lunges facung front to 3rd cone then jog x1

8:lunges facing backwards to 3rd cone then turn and jog x1

9:Hand claps under legs right leg first left leg second x2

10: walking squats x1 and jumping squats x1

11:spint out five players to side step to meet in middle rotate position and go back to the same side repeat all the way up the lines.

11: Sprint out 2 jog bacwards 1 x 2

12: Sprint out 5 side step inwards to jump into partner look for balance as you land then straight sprint to the end of the lines.

Into own stretches after.

Techincal: Passing drill.

Players to pass and follow there pass. looking at:

Weight of pass, accuracy, control, communication,

movement on and off the ball, tempo.

Possession

Possesion:

x1 CB at either end to start the session.

Overload the middle area 4v4 with floater to play with whoever has possesion.

Can bounce back to CB to retain the ball if reds play into blue blue plays into blue etc.

maintain high tempo

players communication

Look to create angles long and short passing

Progressions:

Start the drill with pressure only

interceptions

tackiling

CB to come in and then Att looking to get into the fina area to finish in the goal.

This bring out lots of coaching points, shape movement on and off the ball, reactions to losing possession body shape and angles breaking down teams or retaining the ball.

Team out of possession to press quickly.
