warm up (10 mins)

Organization:

-Two Seperate Dynamic Warmups

Dynamic Warmup A

-Two lines

-Each line is made up of cones 4 steps apart each

Dynamic Warmup B

-Six cones set up 1 step apart each

Each exercise is performed twice

Instructions:

Dynamic Warm up A

-Jog x2

-High Knees x2

-Butt Kicks x2

-Two Step Shuffle x2

-Two Step Shuggle Backwards x2

-Open the Gate x2

-Close the Gate x2

Dynamic Warm up B

-Shuffle between cones x2

-Both feet in and over going forward x2

-Both feet in and over going sideways

main theme (20 mins)

Organization:

-Three or four groups

-One ball per group

Instructions:

-Player starts by passing ball across to team mate

-Runs off to side to receive short pass

-Lay ball off to allow for 2nd attacker to run on to ball and pass it one time

-repeat pattern

Coaching Points:

-Inside foot passing

-Toe up heel down

-Proper weight of pass

-Direction of pass to proper foot

-Can runner move to proper angle

Progressions:

-two touch

-one touch

Semi/Full Opposed (35 mins)

Organization:

-Three fields or four. Depending on number of players

-3 to four players per field

Instructions:

-1st attacker moves left or right and this triggers 2nd and 3rd attacker to move

-Passing goes from 1st to 2nd to 3rd attacker

-When 2nd attacker takes 1st touch, the 1st attacker runs to defend 3rd attacker

-3rd attacker has to play back to 2nd attacker with one or two touches depending on 1st attackers run.

-2nd attacker will play a wall pass so 3rd attacker can get the ball back and score one touch.

Coaching Points:

-Inside foot passing

-Toe up heel down

-Proper weight of pass

-Direction of pass to proper foot

-Can runner move to proper angle

Progressions:

-Defender becomes life

-If Defender can steal the ball in the second half of the field and score they get 3 points

-If the attackers score in one touch they get 2 points

-Any other goal is 1 point

Organization:

-3v3 tournament

Instructions:

play 5-7 minute games
