Description

Use as a guide - there are many other responsibilities but give players 3 or 4 for in and out of possession to improve positional understanding.

General

These are my thoughts on the Roles & Responsibilities of players, playing in a 1-4-2-3-1 system. In an ideal World all players will have knowledge of their own role but also the role of their nearest "neighbours" on the pitch. This system has evolved over recent seasons to provide an additional line of players, and whilst some roles will match those played in other systems (the GK's will not change much) one or two of the others will have specific differences.

Again, I reiterate that these are my thoughts and are not set in stone. I like to give the players two or three things to think about in possession and out of possession which link to transition.
