warm up passing drill (30 mins)

Session Objective:

Organisation: 18 x 15 yard square with 4 yard spaced cones in the middle

1. ball starts at one end who plays a wall pass with near side player than plays through the cone into opposite side who plays a wall pass and continues the sequence (can narrow up the cones to make it harder)

2. the wall passer overlaps the receiver to receive next wall pass on the other

3. the wall passer receives and overlaps with the ball and plays to next player

ALL ON ONE TOUCH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

Session Objective: 1 v 1 counter attacking

Organisation: 25 x 25 yard square with pop up goals, 1 st player from 1 team runs the ball unoppossed to score in opposition goals to get game going as soon as he shoots opposition player takes off to try and score, meanwhile player 1 turns and chases after the first player and player 2 tries to score and immeadiately turns and pursues player 3 from and so

Organisation: as before, player from team up passes upto player from team 2 and he attacks the team 1 goals in a 1 v 1, ball dead if defender wins tackle, if player scores he scores goal for team.

SSG counter attacking (30 mins)

Session Objective: SSG Counter attacking

Organisation: 5 v 5/6 v 7 with gk's with four posts positioned as corner flags, when a team creates a chance or scores a goal two players from that team must sprint around the corner flag each before returning to the action, the coach will feed a ball to the other team giving them temporary overload and opportunity to break quickly and score themselves before opposition defenders return to balance.
