Players dribble at the first mannequin and quickly execute a 1v1 skill, they then turn the corner at the base of the triangle and gain speed going into the second turn, they then engage the other mannequin and end up at the back of the line.

Go for 3 minute blocks each direction. Once the player beats the defender and makes the turn, then the next player can go.

1. Scissor, tech is normal dribble through poles

2. Bottom of the foot role, tech is normal dribble through poles.

3. Free 1v1 players choice, Tech is also free choice through poles.

Coaching points

1. Encourage players to aggresively engage the defender.

2. Gain speed after beating defender and also gain speed after tech work.

20x24 dimensions

Directional posession. 3 teams of 3. 1 team is the neutral team for the 3 minute block then rotate so each team is made to be the neutral group.

Create as many 2v1's as possible. end line player is encourage to immediately drive into the box and engage a defender and quickly try to combine to create 2v1 situations.

Players on the inside are encouraged to always take their first touch forward to engage the defender.

Coaching points.

1. Dont play 1 touch just cause somebody told you too, take the oppurtunity to turn and engage defenders, don't just pass the ball unless it is the only option.

2. Players need to be aggressive and engage the defender whenever possible

3. Support players need to move into areas to help create the number edge.

2v1 to goal

2v1 to goal. 20x24. 3x4 minute blocks

coach plays ball to one side, the defender that is diagonal is the player that defends. the red team plays a pass to their teammate who joins the attack to create a 2v1 to goal. if the defender wins the ball and scores they are awarded 2 points and the attacking team goes down for 2 pushups. the attacking team has a maximum of 2 passes to get to goal

Coaching points.

1. Attacker must immediately engage the defender on the dribble and once defender commits slip the ball to their temmate to score.

2. Quickly attack to unbalance the singel defender.

3. If the attack is taking to long, put a 5 second window to score.

PEM

Repetitive reps of creating the 2 v 1

1. Red player dribbles directly at mannequin to engage defender, yellow player creates seperation when appropriate to facilitate combination play. Red player then repeats the same situaton against the second level defender too. Playes on te manequins stay for th entire block then switch with the red players.

2. Red player combines at the firs level then plays into the second line, where they quickly adjust to create a 2v1

Players are locked into their sides they can pass across the midline and join their attacking group or they may dribble across the midline as well to create the numberical edge.

Coaching points.

1. Create the 2v1 with dynamic movement

2. drive at defenders on the dribble to create the 2v1.
