This part of the session starts with the opposing team strikes the ball to the goalie , the goalie then looks left or right to see which defender can recieve the ball from the goalie on a throw or roll out.The wing back left or right then recieve the ball and look for an easy safe pass to get the ball out of the defending 3rd and unto the attacking 3rd.2 goals set up just pass half so the defending team has a view-goal to move the ball out of their 1/2

As the red team becomes more successful we add more attackers giving this drill real game like experience

Coaching points : making sure the goalie has 2 or 3 options when he recives the ball, when the wing back recives the ball again make sure he ahs 2 options min. including hte goalie who follows the ball 1/2 way out .

Clean , accurate passes lost of communication, vision to move the ball out of the corners.

Warm up 5 to 8 mins

using basic leg warming and body stretching

Part 2 of warm up 15 yeard by 25 yard grid with 2 small nets 1 at each end

drill starts with 2 v 2 winning team stays on and adds 1 player losing team send all 3 new players

this repeats for 3 v 3 and 4 v 4 , The refers back to 2 v 2 , We add wall pass players 1 on each side then 2nd on each side ,This gives the game quick heads up passing , Thinking quickly and early ball to feet

equipment : cones 2 small nets and balls and pinnies
