Warm Up

The students are split into 4 teams. To begin the players are asked to move around the area showing different movements specific to football to help them warm up. To progress, one team is placed on as taggers and the game is Stuck in The Mud. The other teams aim to free one another so that they don't all get caught. Rotate team that is on. To add a further challenge it may be added in that you can only free your own team mates.

Skill Practice

Each team now gets a ball. The aim is to pass the ball along the floor between and around their opponents. Students must think of where, when and how to pass the ball.

To increase the challenge one team now gets a ball each. Their aim is to dribble and try to cause interference for the passing teams. For the passing teams each 4 passes counts as a goal. If their ball goes out or hits an opponent they must start that passing sequence again. Rotate dribbling teams. Finally this may progress to a defending team. If they gain possession of the ball they may score in one of the goals.

Game

The area is now split into 2 pitches and the students play 4v4/3v4. The game is called "The 1 Up Game". A team can score when they like but can never be more than a goal ahead. Once they have the lead their aim is to retain possession to that their opponents don't score.
