Technical work

Team Learning Objectives

- To improve technique to maintain possession

Session Organisation

- The team is split into four groups and have access to any equipment available

How to Play

- 2 teams are given the topic of dribbling to maintain possession

- 2 teams are given the topic of passing to maintain possession

- Teams are given a time limit to come up with an exercise and set it up. Teams will then invite another group to their area, explain the exercise and play in their exercise with that group.

- Time is given for reflection, discussion and improvements before the invited becomes the invitees and the process repeats itself.

- During this time the coach should use a variety of Q&A techniques to push players thinking and test their learning/understanding. 

- Giving time for reflection and for the players to make improvements is a vital part of the process.
