Warm Up (15 mins)

15 min - Scorpian -- Line A (passes made with right foot) - player dribbles tight around the cones and make a connecting pass to player #2 then to player #3 ..... each player following it's path and back to line A. Line B - same as Line A except passes are made with left foot.

Mid range passing (15 mins)

15 min -- Mid range passing -- set cones up 20 to 25 yards apart -- player A starts with a pass on ground and player B returns with an air pass back to player A -- player A does an air pass to player B, player B then does a ground pass - make sure the pace is optimum on each pass.

(variation - start with shorter distance 10 to 15 yards then progress to longer distance).

Finishing after receiving (40 mins)

20min-- Finishing after receiving a service into a "red" zone (marked by 4 blue cones). Various passing into the "zone" from different parts of the field (point A, B, C, D, E, F).... forward/midfield players start at point (1, 2, 3) and make a run into the zone, then receive a ball from a passer, settle the ball with no more than 2 touches and finish into the goal.

Coaching points - quality receiving and accurate finishing

Progression - can add a defender to make it game simulated (defender "Z")

Variation - move the "zone" marked by blue cones.

Game (20 mins)

20 min -- Finish the session off with an even sided game encouraging skills learned throughout the session to be used.
