Organization:

1. 1 Player, 1 Ball & cone (as seen above).

Instructions:

1. Players are looking to perform static ball mastery.

- Toe taps

- Side roles

- 4 toe taps / 4 side roles

Coaching Points:

1.Try to lift head up as much as possible.

2. (Side roles) Hopping on non-kicking foot

Organization:

1. 4 groups of 3 going at the same time.

2. 1st cone to the 3rd cone - 15 yards length.

Instructions:

1. 4 Line with 3 players in each line.

2. Players follow commands of coach who takes them through some running mechanics and co-ordination exercises.

Coaching Points:

1. Arms in north / south direction when running.

2. Movement at shoulders and not at elbow.

3. Straight back.

4. On toes.

Technical Unopposed

Organization:

1. 15 x 15 Area.

2. 3 groups of 4.

3. 2 balls between four players.

Instructions:

1. Player in the middle is looking to find the open players (without a ball) on the out of the area.

2. Player in the middle only has two touches.

3. After the players on the outside have passed the ball they can move to an open side of the area (this will encourage the player on the inside to check/scan).

Coaching Points:

1. Eye contact before passing the ball.

2. Head up as the ball travels.

3. Open body as the ball is travelling.

4. Position within the area to find all players.

1. 30 x 30.area.

2. Two groups of six

3. Two goals.

4. Two different lines of players (teams).

Instructions:

1. Players look to pass the ball back and forward and on the coaches command they are looking to play a 1 v 1 game to try and score in either goal.

Coaching Points:

1. Quality of 1st touch passing.

2. Head up before every pass.

3. 1st touch away from pressure and where you want to go.

4. Head up after every touch.

Progressions:

1. Face goals outwards to make scoring much more difficult.

Organization:

1. Area size 30 x 25.

2. 3 v 3 (include GK if available).

Instructions:

1. Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament where all teams play.

Coaching Points:

1. 3 lines of attack, 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward.

2. Create as much space for player in possession.

3. Try to create a triangle at all times to give good angle of support.

4. Team mates create gaps, can player in possession look to Messi into them.
