Screen 1

Set Up: 2 10x10 yard grids attached to each other. Big goal for progression. 2 even teams split up.

Defenders will start in the grid, Attackers they can score by keeping possesion out the end of the grid. start 1v1. Create 2 teams one blue one Yellow, so yellow defends and switches lines there and red attacks, switch roles and keep score. This creates 2 1v1 dribbling opportunities in each grid.

Coaching Points:

1. Dribbling with speed and change of direction.- make defender commit

2. Ball manipulation- Creativity

3. Dribbling in different directions

4. In progression- communication, movement without the ball, passing and recieving, and decision when to pass or dribble.

Progression:

1. play to a big goal with a 1 touch finish outside second grid.

2. add an attacker to make 2, 2v1 situations

Points;

1. attack with speed creative movement

2. look for shooting oppotunity

3. 2v1 situation, when to dribble when to pass.

Screen 2

Set Up: 8x8 yard grid

Description: 4 blue players in possesion of the ball, 1 yellow defender. Defender trys to win the ball from the attackers, for a time limit. Attackers keep the making the defender commit before they make decision to pass the ball. Rotate the defender.

Coaching points:

1. make defender commit

2. Decision when to dribble (keep the ball) or pass.

3. Open body to field when recieving the ball.

4. Movement to create angle to recieve ball

5. communication

Progression:

Vary the size of grid to ability.

Add defender to add pressure

Screen 3

Set Up: 30x20y 1 big goal, with 2 smaller counter goals, 2 teams 1 team in 2 lines by the post of big goal. 1 team a mid line.

Description: Starting in a 3v1. Ball gets played into the GK and one blue defender runs in from the top to pressure the ball. The purple team trys to score in one of the 2 small goals. Once the ball goes out of bounds 2 new purple and 1 new blue come in and ball is played to gk again.

Coaching Points:

1. Dribble

2. passing with multiple surfaces

3. Weight of pass

4. Appropriate body shape to recieve pass

5. creating passing lanes

Progression:

Add numbers to make 4v2, 5v3 etc.. according to ability level While adjusting space (size of field)

Set up: 6v4 situation playing space about 45x70

Description: Half the time each team plays with numbers up situation. Every time the ball goes out of bounds, goal scored it starts again with gk of the numbers up team. Building out of the back.

Coaching points:

1. Dribble

Adding neutral players outside and giving extra points after goals score when going through neutral players (wingers)
