6 Circuit Finishing (75 mins)

Objective: Striking the ball at goal from different angles and different situations.

Area: Full field divided into sixths.

Activity: 1) A plays B who dribbles mannequin finishes with a shot on target. B becomes passer, A becomes shooter. 2) A plays to B who plays through ball onto running A who either one times the shot or dribbles the keeper. 3) Ladder work (2 feet) receive ball and across body and finish in opposite net. 4) Attacking player dribbles at defending player. Defending players must stay in designated square. Attacking beats him to finish on goal. 5) A plays into B who plays back to A who dribbles toward endline to perform a cross and B finishes. 6) A plays into either B. B turns to strike on goal.

Coaching points: Toe down ankle locked, prep touch outside shoulders, take a peek between prep and shot, follow through to your target, strike through the middle of the all, follow through and land on kicking foot. In exercise 2, if they need to place ball, instruct to use inside of the foot.
