Technical Warm Up: (20 mins)

Technical Warm Up:

Players dribble ball following numbered pattern, change direction and add skill moves at cones. At dynamic stretches.

Progress to passing pattern, follow pass to next number. Add multiple balls or set up twice to have competition.

Progress: 3 plays give and go with 2 once received.

2 plays back to 1 and angles run to 3 for give and go and takes their spot, 1 plays straight to 3 and moves to number 2 spot.

Technical 2: (20 mins)

Technical 2:

set up area suitable to players, split into 3 teams. start as one group, coach serves ball in for team to possess. Whenever ball leaves area, player does not check to the ball or a player is stood still, team must start again. How many balls can the coach serve in?

Progress:

3 team possession - two teams keep possession with one team defending, team that loses posession switches with defending team.

Skill Phase 1: (20 mins)

Skill Phase 1: 50 pass game

set up area suitable to players and age. two teams with a halfway line and goals. defending team pass ball into other half and send 2 defenders to win ball. 4 attacking players must make 50 passes to win. if ball goes out or defenders win ball, they play to their half and join in with 2 defenders now joining that side. team does not lose passes when ball is lost.

Progress:

take out halfway line to allow team opposition

Can add a goal, once a team gets to certain target can look to shoot for extra passes

movement to support in relation of body angle

Skill Phase 2: (25 mins)

Rondo - 8 and 10

set up area suitabe to players and age, with 2 goals either end. Play 9 v 3 with 2 attackers in the middle, other players limited to outside. score a point by playing the ball from one side of square to opposite through a middle player. If the two midfielders can link up and switch the play, they get 3 points. If defenders win ball and play 5 passes they can switch with any player.

Progress:

After ball is switched, end player can shoot for a goal. if played back to midfielder to shoot, they get 3 points.

visual cues: weight of pass, movement of defenders chasing ball,player or space. space available to drop.

set up area suitable to players and age with 4 gates, two each end. two teams look to score by playing to target player, keep it directional. Can use opposite target player to drop.

Progress:

once ball is played to target player, target player returns ball to team to dribble through a gate for point, or passes to target player through gate for 3 points.
