Organization:

-30x25 grid

-Each player places a cone in their own space in the grid

-Half of the players with the ball, half without

Instructions:

-Players with a ball, look to find a pass with a player without a ball

-Once they pass, they make a run around a cone and ask for the ball back

-Play for 90 seconds and switch the players

Coaching Points:

-Quality, weight, angle of pass and runs

-Communication

Instructions:

-Players complete a wall pass, rotate the player on the outside after everyones gone through once.

-Dribble at/attack tall cone (defender) and release ball with outside of foot as late as possible.

-Distance of support (decrease distance of support to make combinations quicker)

-Angle of support (try not to get ahead of ball so pass can be played into space ahead of supporting player)

Fully Opposed

Organization:

-20x10 grids

-4-6 Players in each grid

-Balls at the start of the grid

Instructions:

-Defenders now start on the endline

-Ball starts with the first Attacker passing to the support attacker.

-Support Attacker plays the ball back to the first attacker. On the second pass, the game is live and the defender may come out to play

-Attackers can use support player, or take the space themselves

-Attackers score by getting across the endline with the ball

-Defenders can score by stealing it and getting it across the endline where the play started.

-Dribble at/attack tall cone (defender) and release ball with outside of foot as late as possible.

-Distance of support (decrease distance of support to make combinations quicker)

-Angle of support (try not to get ahead of ball so pass can be played into space ahead of supporting player)

Organization:

-25x30 grid

-2 mini goals/big goals

-Players split between corner cones

-Balls start on one cone-Attackers

Instructions:

-Attackers start with a pass to their teammate and play becomes live

-2v2

-Switch teams over after a couple of minutes

Coaching Points:

-Dribble at/attack tall cone (defender) and release ball with outside of foot as late as possible.

-Distance of support (decrease distance of support to make combinations quicker)

-Angle of support (try not to get ahead of ball so pass can be played into space ahead of supporting player)

-Quality/weight of pass

-Communication

-Speed of play

Progressions:

-Larger field, allow for scrimmage.
