Organization:
Six players or more in the middle of a rectangular box. Six players on the outside of a much bigger box with a ball
Instructions:
Players in the rectangle will look to receive a pass from a player on the outside before pass back. Once they pass, they will go back into the rectangle to perform a dynamic movement before accelerating away to receive a pass from another player. A series of dynamic stretches will also be performed.
Coaching Points:
The pass from the outside players must be correctly weighted. Players on the outside must accelerate quickly to a player on the outside as if a defender were behind them. Players should check over their shoulder and be aware of whats behind them. Communicating between the players is also key. Each pass should be passed with the inside of the foot.
Progressions:
Once the players on the inside have passed back, they should look to go round the player on the outside before going to the middle.
They can also receive the pass, turn and find another player on the outside without a ball. Players can play little give and go's. Players will also be able to interchange and swap positions. Passes will vary from driven to aerial passes.
