Warm Up: (15 mins)

set up 4 boxes suitable to players and age.

Players dribble ball around area practising skill moves in all 3 directions.

play 3 games:

knockout - players kick ball out of square for a point

boxes - players are frozen in boxes and play knock out

tag - players must tag players bag

progress to have set defenders for each game

Skill Phase 1: (15 mins)

Skill Phase 1:

Set up two boxes suitable to players and age, with a 15 yard channel in between. Players start at the bottom of the channel and dribble through the first box, they then continue to the next box, turn and attempt to return to the start. If the defender wins ball, then they either rotate or earn a point.

Progress: add points for exit lines, 1 point for side line 3 for going forward.

Skill Phase 2: (15 mins)

Set up a row of three boxes with a 10 yard gap with 2 boxes to goal. set boxes in different variation and sizes for ability and challenge.

Players get 1 point every time they dribble through a box, and 3 for a goal. If ball is stolen then they keep points but must start again, play to time limit or target score or attack vs defenders.
