Drill (30 mins)

Set-up

Start with one ball. Player A passes ball to Player B, waits for B to successfully control the ball then follows his pass, replacing Player B. B will pass to C then follow, and so on. Player from side group will replace A and Player E will join side group, thus allowing a constant flow around the circuit.

Progression 1: Two-touch – one touch receive, one touch pass – Anti-clockwise, right foot (except Player B)

Progression 2: Two-touch – one touch receive, one touch pass – Clockwise, left foot (except Player B

Progression 3 & 4: As per first 2 progressions but with one defender pressing (not tackling) Player B

Progression 5: Be CREATIVE! Change direction of passes, miss players out etc...

Coaching Tips

•Gradually increase intensity/speed of passing

•Control on the back foot

•Open your body

•Pass through the ball

•Keep the “resting” group busy with short one touch passing circle
