5v2's (15 mins)

5v2 w/ central player: 12x15 Yard Grid

Set-up: 4 offensive players on the outside of the grid w/ one of them being positioned centrally.

Progression:

GU9&10: 2 touch max, 4 passes one point. If defenders steal it 1 point. First to 5 then switch.

*GU11: If defenders win it they play 2v1 in the middle. Every pass they complete, they get a point. First to 7 wins. 2 touches outside players, 1 touch inside.

Coaching Points (lots): Focus is to retain possession but to look for first option at all times. 1st option is player opposite them. Central player second option and wide players third option. wide players must shift and support, (possession players should look to apply immediate pressure to win ball back. once they do they look to get shape back. Central players can you find the seams. Point of possession? (several but we look to shift the defense to find seams, openings to exploit) *Peak before receiving, receive across body.
