Activity I: Rondo

Organization

- 8x8 areas marked as shown (x4)

- 14 Players (5 Attackers & 2 Defenders each group)

- 1 Ball per group (additional on outside)

Activity

- Groups play 5v2 "Rondo" game. Attackers aim to keep possession while Defenders aim to win ball

- Attackers have one touch maximum. Defenders hold bib & look towin/get touch on ball

- Player who loses possession becomes new Defender in middle (two rounds)

- On coaches command (whistle) whole group must sprint clockwise to next area & continue Rondo

- The last two players in area are new Defenders

Progression

P - Nutmeg on Defender! That Defender stay in middle an extra turn

P - 15 Passes! If Attackers make 15 consecutive passes both Defenders repeat in middle

P - Attackers must take two touches

P - One Whistle groups sprint clockwise. Two Whistles groups sprint anti-clockwise

Activity II: Rondo Prog

Organization

- 8x8 areas setup as shown (5 yard gap between)

- 12/14 Players (two groups setup as shown)

- 1 Ball (additional with coach)

Activity

- Two groups setup as shown. One group begins playing 5v2 Rondo while other group wait in other area

- Same rules as previous activity. However, the Attacker who loses possession & teammate on left become new Defenders in other area

- The two new Defenders must sprint across toother area as Coach plays in the new ball

- Activity continues & repeats

Progression

P - If Attackers make 15 passes the Defenders & teammates from opposite area must do pushups

P - If Attackers make less then 5 passes they must do pushups

Organization

- 30x30 area setup as shown

- 4 Mini Goals setup in each corner

- 12/16 players (split into even groups)

- 1 Ball (additional with coach)

Activity

- Players are split into 4 groups & begin behind their goal

- On Coaches command "1, 2 or 3" that number of players from each group must sprint around their cone before entering the field

- As Coach calls number they serve a ball at random into the playing area

- Players work together to score in any goal other then their own

- Once a goal is scored or ball leaves the playing area, Coach calls next number & activity repeats

Progression

P - Attacking team must make at least one pass before scoring

P - Team can only score in oppositions goals (Yellow into goals Red team are standing behind)

P - Team that scores has possession in next play

Organization

- Half pitch set up as shown

- 3 Goals (2 Mini & 1 Full Size) set up as shown

- 10/12 Players (Plus Goalkeeper) set up as shown

- 1 Ball (additional with coach)

Activity

- Players are split into two even teams. One player from each team begins inside the playing area, while remaining players begin on the outside in alternating colors

- Coach begins the activity by calling out one of the two teams color (in the example Yellow is called)

- On that signal Yellow attacker checks to receive the ball & on 1st touch game becomes live

- All remaining players sprint into the area & join the game

- The team/player who is called & receives pass from Coach is Attacking the goal, while the other team aims to score into the Mini Goals

- Once a goal has been scored or the ball leaves the area players have 6 seconds to return to their position. Coach counts down out loud!

Progression

P - Team that scores wins the next possession & attacks the goal

P - If no goal is scored, the first team back on outside in position wins next possession & attacks goal

- 1 Full Size Goal

- 10 players & a Goalkeeper (set up as shown)

- 1 Ball (additional with coach)

Activity

- Players are split into two even teams & start on either side of the penalty area

- On Coaches command "1, 2 or 3" that number of players must sprint out & around the back of goal

- As Coach calls number they play a ball into playing area at random

- Both sets of players aim to win possession of the ball & score into the goal past the Goalkeeper

- As soon as a goal is scored or the ball leaves play, both sets of players must leave the area immediately so the next set can begin

- Coach calls new number & activity repeats

Progression

P - One touch finishing

P - Player/Team who wins the ball first can be joined by another teammate from line to overload!

P - Time Limit! Teams have 6 seconds from first touch of ball to score!

- 2 Full Size Goals

- 4 Target Cones (setup as shown)

- 12 Players including Goalkeepers

Activity

- Players are split into two even teams & play directional SSG. Allow players to organize team shape/system

- In possession players are limted to two touches maximum

- At any moment during game players must be ready to sprint on Coaches command

- When Coach blows a double whistle players must sprint around any cone on outside of playing area, while Goalkeepers sprint to the other Goal & stay

- Game resumes from Goalkeeper who arrives to their goal first

- If ball goes out play resumes with Goalkeeper from opposite team

Progression

P - First team to have all players back on field after sprint wins possession of ball

P - Team who concedes goal must sprint around cones
