Shadow Play

Challenge

Teams play with a ball each, unopposed. All players have to be involved in patternes of play with a shot at goal the outcome.

Progress to one team with ball. Blue team has max. of 3 touches each and can tackle. Black team has unlimited touches but can only intercept.

Blue teams target is to break quickly when possession is won. Black teams target is to keep the ball for a minimum of 3 passes before attacking the goal.

Passing patternes are:

1. Def - involve WP & CF in pattern

2. Def - involve CM, WP & CF in pattern

3. Def - involve WP, CM & WP (either 1-2 or switch) in pattern

4. Mix patterns up

Challenge

Pair attempt to drible or pass through end gate. Get double point if goal is scored by a split pass. Off side line is added in.

1. How can you avoid the ball going between you and your team mate

2. How can you best position yourself to support 1st defender and be aware of second attacker (angle/distance)

A. PAss 1 is an areial pass (from hands). Pass 2 is a driven pass.

Red attacker has to dribble to baselinbe to score a point. Defenders must make two passes when they regain possesion to score a point.

B. Pass 1 is a lofted pass. Pass 2 is a driven pass.

Create 1v1 with recovery defender who must recover through either one of the red gates before entering the grid.
