Patterns of Play

Ball starts with the GK who plays a goal kick to one of the two CBs. The player recieving the ball must get it down as quickly as possible and look to advance the ball into the attacking 1/3 to then finish on goal.

Allow players to play freely to advance the ball (play what you see). Then introduce formal patterns they can rehearse going to goal i.e. combining of the # 9, inter-changing FBs and wide strikers, 3-man run out of midfield from # 8 or # 10.
