2v2 Defending (20 mins)

40x30 box split into two halves. Players divided into 2 teams.

Oranges play the ball across to Blue attackers. Play 2v2 line soccer. Team that stops the ball on their attacking line gets a point. Rotate attackers and defenders every dead ball. Switch roles after a set time period or number of points.

Coaching Points:

-Initial pressure on the ball carrier. Who steps to the ball? "I go!"

-Turn the ball in or out?

-Are passing lanes or 2nd attackers more dangerous? 2nd defenders must keep ball and 2nd attacker in line of sight.

-How to defend over/under laps
