Exercise 1
Same area as previous drill, 5 players on the outside, 5 players in the middle. Players in the middle start with the ball.
1) Players in the middle will dribble their soccer ball to a player on the outside, stop it in front of them using the sole of their foot and the player on the outside will take the ball and do the same to a free player on the outside.
2) Players in the middle will pass the ball to a free player on the outside and then they will swap positions, repeat.
3) Servers start with the ball and can bounce the ball and players try to control it with a surface of their body (inside/laces/chest/thigh).
Progression:
- Outside players become servers and they receive a pass from the players in the middle, pass it back and then the player on the outside will look for another player on the outside to exchange passes. Play for 1 minute and then switch roles
- Servers start with the ball and can bounce the ball and players try to control it with a surface of their body (inside/laces/chest/thigh).
Play for 12 Minutes

Exercise 2 Opposed
Same area,balls with the servers on the outside, blue players are attackers woth 1 red who is a defender, bring in a defender to increase difficulty level.
Servers pass the ball to a blue player who controls it and passes it back, the defernder has to touch the other players soccer ball with there sole to score a point. Each pass that is made by the blue player will earn them 1 point. After 1 minute swap the attackers and servers over and also change/add defender(s).
Progression:
- Bring in extra defenders
- Get defenders to defend without any restrictions
- Get servers to bounce pass the ball to the attackers

Scrimmage
15-20 minute scrimmage which includes 3/5 minutes of free play so the players can play without any coaching stoppages.

Warm Up (10 mins)
Follow the Leader.
20 by 20 area.
Players will start without the ball and will then bring the ball in, group are split into pairs, each pair is given a number 1/2.
The coach will get the player running around the area and once he calls out number 1, number 1 will be look to do fakes and turns to get way from partner, who will be trying to follow. The coach will then swap the leader
Progression:
Coach will get the players dribbling around first and when he call number 1 or 2 they will lead and the other person will follow as close as possible, making sure the ball is close to there feet. Coach will swap leader every 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Play for 5-7 minutes.
