This is a classic rondo that is a documented favorite of Pep's.
Format is 4v4+3 as shown. Object is for team in possession (Red to start) to maintain that possession with assistance from the Jokers and play up and down the grid.
Coaching points:
-quick decisive movement by the outside players and jokers, and the inside joker.
-Open body shape to receive.
-Defenders stay compact, move as a unit to cut off passing lanes.
Play intensely for 5-10 minutes, then swap teams (Yellow go outside, Red come inside to defend). Repeat.
Progression:
-Rather than play for a fixed time, incorporate a transition: when Yellow win the ball, they quickly distribute to a Joker, then swap places with Red and continue in possession until Red win the ball back.
