Pick a tag game, get the kids running around. After a couple quick games, have them playing tag games with a ball at their feet, even the taggers.

Description
Challenge players to dribble with their heads up. Take a touch, take a step. Have 3 x 1 minute bursts, trying to achieve 100 touches in that time. The feet move fast, the ball doesn't. High quality touches: make the players use their weak foot and surfaces of the feet that they aren't strong with. Sole roles are fine, toe taps... we are looking for 500 touches in the first 10 minutes of the session.
Progress to players dribbling until coach calls 'turn', now we introduce a couple of basic turns. The pull back / magic turn are 2 good basic ones. Scissors / step over, half zico. Whatever the ability level, try to challenge every player with a turn that is a little difficult for them.
After we turn we explode. Change speed and Direction. It is important to have our head up to find the space.

Teams stand on opposite sides. Coach throws the ball in, they play 1v1 to either goal.
Try to encourage moves, turns, fakes in order to beat the defender.
