Shadow Play

Challenge

Teams play with a ball each, unopposed. All players have to be involved in patternes of play with a shot at goal the outcome. How can they include combination play and receive behind a line.

Coaching points

1. Movement of WP

2. How can CM affect play (drop into space, open body)

3. Can ST try to recieve the ball behind defenders

4. Decision - feet or space

5. Can you play with tempo

Passing patternes are:

1. Def - WP - CM - WP (one-two) and play from there

2. Def - ST - CM - WP (third man running) and play from there

3. Def - CM - WP and play from there

4. Mix patterns up

1. Receiving skills with different surfaces of body

2. Sending skills with different parts of feet

3. Body shape to receive

4. Play with tempo

4v4 Circle Game

Challenge

Team in possession have tocreate opportunities to pass the ball

to a target player. Once done, they then receive back and try to play to opposite target player.

Double points if a combination is involved before scoring.

Zone Game

Challenge

Have to play a player into attacking zone to score. You can drop

into your defending zone and use as safe zone.

Progression players can dribble or recieve a pass into the wide areas to deliver a cross at first with pressure, then into 1v1 if defender wins the ball can he drive forward to cross?
