Technique Individual (20 mins)

Striker Juggles: 1) 50 on each foot. Waist height, toe pointed away, no spin on ball, Focus on proper form.

2) Sky Juggling. 10x10 grids. Rules: has to go over head, if lands outside of area it is other persons point. Other player gets 1 bounce. No spin (slight spin not bad), but idea is looking to go straight up with it. Do 2-3 matches to 10. PROGRESS to no the ball has to go as high as they can go and/or alternate feet. DO 2-3 matches to 10.

Partner Technique (30 mins)

Pair up and stand about 5-10 yards apart to start.. All strikes with laces and proper form. 25 on each foot for each phase.

#1- From hands drop straight to foot for volley to partner. Should stay below head for youngers and below shoulders for olders. The lower the better as more power goes forward and not up (no looping of the ball and no spin except for forward spin).

#2- From hands let ball hit ground first and strike to partner. (move to about 15-20 yards apart)

#3- Stationary from the ground Striker the ball to partner. For youngers below chest, olders below the waist. Shoud be 20-30 yards a part.

#4- Ball on ground and roll out and then strike while rolling to partner. For youngers below chest, olders below waist. Should be 30-50 yards away.

On number #3 and #4 we are looking for ALL POWER once they get the technique. This will make them lose technique and learn to fine tune it at their max power. We will teach accuracy next. ON this give them some ideas of how to fix what their ball is doing. Toe pointed at target, part of foot struck, hip swing, landing foot location, etc etc.

Individual practice (30 mins)

Shots: Low and far or high and near. Preferably low and far. All power for today.

1) Center cones: Ball in then lay off right or left for 1 time shot low and far. 10 shots each side. Then right cone, then left cone. On the side cones only can layoff to the outside.

2) Ball comes in and back then to player. Player takes first touch to coach and dribbles him to one side then shoots. 10 shots each way. One the outside cones they can only go to the outside (should stay inside of the edge of 6 roughly.

Team layoffs (20 mins)

Team Layoffs: Go for 10 minutes each side. Follow pass. Go diagnol, then across, then laid off.

Power Finesse (15 mins)

Finish with Power Finese: 1 line of cones 30 yards away (25 for u11 and below). 1 group by that one group behind shagging. Go for 5-7 minutes each time. Coach plays ball into Player. Player gets 2 touches but must shoot behind the 1st line (ALTERNATE FOOT each time). Then a second ball is played, player has 1 touch to finish (about pk-18 area). {Do some games where the 2nd ball is a header}. Score from 1 shot is 3 pts, 2nd shot is 1 pt. Then Rotate the groups. Highest points win.

DO AS MANY GAMES AS NEEDED TO GET THROUGH CAMP. SHOULD BE 2-3

Coaches Choice (20 mins)

Open for any games the coach wants to do but please try to focus on striking for power. Can continue to introduce the finesse shot, but focus points on striking.
