Warm Up (10 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x20 grid set up as shown

2. Each player with a ball

Instructions:

1. Coach will demonstrate the desired move at game speed then in broken down parts for the players.

2. Players will dribble throughout area practicing the move.

3. Players will work for 2 minutes on the right foot then switch and work for two minutes on the left foot.

4. Coach will then demonstrate the second move.

5. Players will dribble throughout area practicing the move.

6. Players will work for 2 minutes on the right foot then switch and work for two minutes on the left foot.

Coaching Points:

Dribbling - Feint

1. Lean to one side dropping your shoulder

2. Plant the same side foot to the side of the ball

3. Take the ball away with the outside of the opposite foot

Dribbling - Push And Run

1. Dribble straight at the defender

2. Push the ball one side of the opponent with outside of the foot

3. Run round the opposite side and collect the ball

Main Theme 1 (20 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x20 grid set up as shown

2. Each player with a ball

Instructions:

1. Player will dribble towards center cones.

2. Upon reaching the cone, player will complete move 1 with right foot then dribble to the end of the line ahead of them.

3. A player from each side will go at the same time.

4. Players will work on move 1 with their right foot for five minutes, move 1 left foot for five minutes, move 2 right foot for five minutes, and move 2 left foot for five minutes.

Coaching Points:

Dribbling - Feint

1. Lean to one side dropping your shoulder

2. Plant the same side foot to the side of the ball

3. Take the ball away with the outside of the opposite foot

Main Theme 2 (30 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x20 grid set up as shown

2. Split team into two groups, attacker and defenders

3. Multiple balls at each defending line

Instructions:

1. Defender players ball into attacker, defender cannot advance until ball has been received by attacker.

2. Attacker will use one of the two moves learned and practice to beat the defender to score a goal. 

3. Defenders will rotate from defending line to attacking line.

4. Play for allotted amount of time then rotate players to face new opponents.

Coaching Points:

Dribbling - Feint

1. Lean to one side dropping your shoulder

2. Plant the same side foot to the side of the ball

3. Take the ball away with the outside of the opposite foot

Dribbling - Push And Run

1. Dribble straight at the defender

2. Push the ball one side of the opponent with outside of the foot

3. Run round the opposite side and collect the ball  

Progressions:

1. P - Defenders can advance once ball is passed

2. R - Take away goals, have players dribble over end line for point
