Warm Up (20 mins)

FUNdamental warm up

Each player must attempt to remember a physical sequence from 1-3. The numbers relate to a movement which dynamically stretches the body and get the players to think about their movements and what they are going to do before they actually do it.

This starts the process of painting pictures in their heads of what they want to do on or off the ball and allows them to prepare their body position, balance and coordination for movement ahead of time.

eg. 1: Jump 2. side shuffle 3. back and forth shuffle

Allow players to come up with their own sequence. Introduce groups of 3 or 4 where a movement could mean a change of direction in the sequence eg. star jump

Coaching Point: HAVE FUN
