Fast passing to win the attack (20 mins)

Have both teams play the ball in "de kom". Players follow their ball to keep them in motion (unless both teams have 4 players, then this isn't necessary).

The first of the teams to pass the ball 10/15/20/etc times is the team that makes an attacking play. For this example, the orange team attacks. They must first carry or pass the ball through the cones at A, before they may continue forward. Once the ball is inside the 25, the attackers may use the entire breadth of the field.

Defenders who start outside the 25 must first enter it before defending, this is so the attackers have a little time to get the ball through A.

Note: take some time to check where the last pass will end. 10 will end at 3, 15 at 4, but 20 will end at 1. Each requires a different strategy to mount the attack through A.

Increase defending difficulty by allowing the attacker to pass back to 4 and mount the attack on their half. Increase attacking difficulty by allowing defenders to immediately put pressure on the ball; in this case, remove the requirement of moving the ball through A, but do require the attackers to first move the ball to the other half of the field, before moving forward.

Fast passing to score (20 mins)

Defenders 1, 2, 3 & 4 are passing the ball in "de kom", their goal is to score by carrying the ball through one of the two goals between the 25 yard and middle line.

Offensive players A, B & C are also passing a ball. As soon as a defender crosses the 25, the offense can attempt to take the ball. They may only put pressure on a defender with the ball if they have put their ball in the square on the correct side. So, if defender 4 carries, their ball must be in B's square.

If the defenders cannot score, they may bring the ball back into the 25 and then the offense must also resume passing their ball. If the offense takes possession, they may attempt to score normally.

If you tell the defense they can pass across the 25, the difficulty will be increased for the offense. If you require the defense only to carry the ball, you increase the difficulty for them. Varying the distances of the goals and/or offense's squares also changes the difficulty.
