Organisation:
-10-12 Players
-15x10 yard area (x2) with small 3 yard passing gate in the middle (depending on numbers - have 1 or 2 drills running)
-Play starts with a pass through the gate from Player 1 (who then moves forwrad to pressure), into Player 2. Player 2 performs wall pass with Player 3 around Player 1, and sequence continues. Switch wall passer frequently and swap sides for wall pass.
Variations:
-dribble/execute moves through the gates
-simple 2 touch and 1 touch passing through the gates
Coaching Points:
-Weight and accuracy of passing
-Timing of runs
-Good first touch and body position
-Communication with team mates
-Pressuring Player - start to work on speed of approach, body position

Organisation:
-10-12 Players
-Area 15x20yds (adjust for numbers of players, ability, etc)
-Supply of balls, 5-6 bibs, 2 mini-nets, 6 cones
2v2 transition game focusing on the defensive relationship of the players (pressure/cover).
-One team starts with the ball and attacks opposition - on scoring a goal, ball going out, or other team winning possession and scoring - the original attacking team transitions to the defending team as the other team begins their attack, and then they go off. This pattern continues (attack, defend, off).
Progressions:
-Increase space and play 3v3

(1st Defender) Speed/Angle of approach, Body Shape, Stay Patient, Distance, Eyes of ball
(2nd Defender) Communication, Angle and Distance, Body Shape, See the ball and player, Angle Speed of Recovery
*(3rd Defender) Provide Balance, Keep Shape, Communication, Be prepared for Switch of Play
As a team - Pressure/Communicate as a unit - Identify when to press and when to drop off

-Work initially on a variety of touches, moves on the ball. Finish with a game of "Knockout" - where players have to keep their ball in the area whilst kicking others balls out. Last player standing wins. Players who go out, practice keep ups till game is over.
