- Quick turns at subway stop.

- Accelerate away.

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:

- Players must perform a balance at subway stop.

Conditioned Game (CG); Individual Possession (20 mins)

SET UP:

Players are divided into two teams and their objective is to score in the goals at the end of the subway lines; players can only use the subway lines to travel but can transfer the ball off the lines. Start practice with one ball per team but one team can have both balls at the same time to allow for different scenarios; for example, 2 v 1, 4 v 2, 2 v 2.

KEY POINTS:

- Communication (verbal, body language, eye contact)

- Decision making; when to dribble, when to pass.

- What next? 'If you choose to travel down line 14 will you meet defenders on line 15?' 'Is your team mate on a better line to reach to goal quicker?'

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:

- Progress to only using one ball.

- Progress to only be able to use 'fakes' and takes', as well as other two player combinations, to transfer the ball on the line.

- Decrease the number of goals at the end of the subway lines.
