Warm up

As a warm up exercise the players will be placed on the outside of the cones, a small square will be in the middle with a couple of balls.

All 4 players will jog to the ball area, take a ball with their feet and go back to thier cone and will all go in the same direction either the right or left. They will pass the ball to the other players on the cone. We want to observe players receive the ball with the inside and first touch forward and do the same as previous

In this exercise the team will be divided in half. Each team will have a ball.

We will be doing 1 touch, 2 touch and 1 or 2 touch passing. Each round will take 2 min with 1 min of rest.

we are observing players moving off the ball, passing and receiving. We are allowing players to receive with whatever parts of the foot, but the ball cannot stop moving. It is very important that the players receives the ball and make a quick pass (DO NOT STOP BALL WHILE RECEIVING)

In this exercise we will want to have groups of 4 with 2 goalkeepers.

In this exercise we will focus on the white/blue team and red/white will be the defending team. This will change after the shot.

Set Up: there will be 3 grids a defending 3rd, midfield 3rd and attacking 3rd.

The blue/white team will start with the ball and will pass to the CB, the CB needs to open up to create space and find a midfield, as soon as the midfield is found the CB willl support the play which will create a 3v2 situation in the midfield area. The MF will try to find the CF, and the second MF will come and support the play to createa 2v1 situation at goal.

We are looking for players to move, communicate, create overloads, support, speed of play.

questions to ask are: Im I moving to support quickly? im i attacking the open space?
