ODP Week 3 6:00-8:00 (20 mins)

Instructions: Want the ball

Players inside the cones have the ball, outside players must run, call for a pass and then pass back to the players inside the cones.

AFTER 10 MINUTES

Players outside the cones have the ball. These Players must dribble and then make a one-twos with the players inside cones

Questions to ask the Players:

After passing do we stand still? or do we make a run into space?

What do we have to do before we can make the pass?

Which foot do you receive the pass with?

Which part of the foot do you receive the ball with?

Therefore without a good 1st touch and control we cannot pass the pass.

Because passing involves giving the ball to a teammate, it is important that players are taught to know where their teammates are by constantly looking. A second point is verbal communication. Coaches should teach players to provide intelligent verbal cues to help with decision-making in passing.
