Ball Manipulation

Skills Corridor - Passively Opposed

Set up:

* 24 x 24 Yard are split into 9, 8x8 boxes.

* Each player with a ball

Instructions:

* Players perform a skill in the first box.

* Players perform the same skill (i.e. left foot step over, right foot push) to take them in opposite directions. and go to the outside at the opposite end.

* Players on the outside perform ball manipultaion (i.e push drag).

Player Objectives:

* Players on the outside working, aware when it is their turn to go into the boxes.

* Players perform the exact skill to ensure there are no collisions

* Perform skills sharply once comfortabel with the pracice format.

Passing and Receiving Techincal and Pattern

Technical descion pattern (Constant)

A - Set up:

* 2 players behind cones

* 1 Ball between two

* 10 Yards apart

Instructions:

* Player with the ball checks to the left or right to start.

* Player without ball checks to the opposite side to recieve.

* As the ball travels the passer checks behind the cone to the other side.

Set Up B:

* 2 players behind cones

* 1 Ball between two

* 10 Yards apart

Instructions:

* Player with the ball checks infront of the cone to recieve.

* Passer checks behind cone to recieve the pass back.

* Player checks back behind the cone.

Set Up C:

* 2, 8 x 8 Mannequin Squares.

* 15 yards apart

* 3 player in each square

* 1 Ball

Instructions:

1. Player plays a one two with the centre player, the centre player moves to the back of the mannequins.

2. The player plays to the outside player

3. The ball is played across the and btween the mannequins

4. The ball is played into the path of the player who was at the back of the mannequins to repeat the other end.

Penertation

Beating the Block (Attacking in Central Areas)

Set Up:

* 36 x 18 Yard area

* Split into 4 equal areas (9 x 18)

Instructions:

* Players in possession aim to pass through to same colours.

* Players between try to screen passes and intercept to gain possession.

Player Objectives:

* Recieving postion

* Disguise Passing

* Ariel or Ground Passes

* Q. "can you find creative ways to pass through or over the defence?"

Progession:

* Can players play 1 or 2 touch.

* Player without the ball can send, 1 / 2 players in to win posession.

Set Up:

* 36 x 18 Yard area

* 10 x 18 'Free zone'

* 2, 13 x 18 'Areas'

Instructions:

* GK plays out to either defender to start.

* Either Defenders can dribble or and attacker to recieve the ball can use the 'Free zone'.

* Player in free zone looks to 'beat the block'

Player Objectives:

* Recieving postion

* Disguise Passing

* Ariel or Ground Passes

* Pass or Run into Free Zone

* Q. "can you find creative ways to pass through or over the defence?"

* Q. "can you find ways to make space for yourself or others to recieve?"

Progession:

* An Attacker can only use the free zone.

* Can players play 1 or 2 touch.

* 1 defender can enter the free zone to oppose players.

Regressions:

* Overload attacking 3rd

* Reduce Defenders in Attacking 3rd

* Free Play

* Q. "can you find ways to make space for yourself or others to recieve?"

Regression:

* Include a 'Safe Zone'
