Organization: Set up on grid 20x20 with a 3/5 yard endzone at each end.

Activity:

Player from the opposite end of your team will work his/her way back and recieve a pass from their teammate. As soon as the checking in forward gets out of the channel the defender is allowed to apply pressure to the incoming pass. The player first making the pass in then joins the forward with pressure from behind. He or she will have the decsion to turn or lay the ball off creating a 2v1. The attacking team is trying to successfully get the ball from their side into the endzone they are attacking with possesion and control of the ball. Teams will switch every other turn playing defense to offense. Make sure every player is playing in each of the three spots.

Coaching Points:

1. Give information on your passes into the forward.

2. When you have space engage the defender making them make a decision.

3. Decide when it is best to dribble or to pass.

4. Take care of the ball and be smart because you are numbers up.

Organization: Two grids devided by a mid line. top grid will be 15x20 with the bottom grid 25x20. Adjust if you need more space)

Activity:

In the top grid it is a 3v1 trying to find the forwards feet who then pays the ball off. When you can get into the bottom grid we are looking to create a 3v2 to goal looking to get a shot on target. Forward will remain the same as the other attackers will switch out with their partners. If the defenders win the ball they are trying to score on the two small goals. When the defenders have the ball they are allowed to move anywhere, but when they are defending they must stay in their half of the grid.

Coaching Points:

1. Dont force passes into a space that is crowded.

2. Play simple, smart, and forward when we can. (we are trying to score goals)

3. Always communicate with your teammates as the ball moves and we gain ground higher up the field.
