Warm-up (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Area as shown (15x15)

Instructions:

1. After pass players perform dynamic strecthes

a. Side -cuts

b. Side shuffles

c. Skips

d. Accelarate - Deccelarate

2. Progress into competition : 1pt per pass made.

Coaching Points:

1. Body at angle (sideways on)

2. 1st touch with far foot

3. Pass: Accuracy & Pace

4. while performing strecthes : quality over quantity

Main Theme (Non-opposed) (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Area as shown (20 yds to direct cone - 12 yds to wide cone)

2. Two grids of 6 players.

Instructions:

1. Player 1 passes ball to player 2.who passes to Player 3 far foot

2. Player 3 shows sideways on and takes touch with far foot (Right) toward player 4.

3. Player 4 takes touch with far foot (Left) and passes to Player 1.

4. Player always move to left side.after making their passes.

Coaching Points:

1. Body position (Sideways on)

2. Open door (hip)

3. Let the ball travel to far foot.

4. Cushion on contact in direction of next decision

5. Work ethic when moving off the ball.

Progressions:

1. Competition - Points for completing full cycle.

Main Theme (Opposed) (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Area as shown (15 yds from gates to goal)

2. Two grids of 6 players (Right & Left side)

Instructions:

1. Blue player plays ball and runs around - between goals ready to defend.

2. Red player takes 1st touch through gates.and plays to teammate.

3. PLayer continues pattern and players play 2v1 to goals

4. If Blue player wins ball, he/she must pass to teammate on blue cone to recieve pt..

5. When play is over, Red players go to opposite line.

6. Switch Roles after 2 min.

Coaching Points:

1. Body position (Sideways on)

2. Open door (hip)

3. Let the ball travel to far foot.

4. Cushion on contact in direction of next decision

5. Importance of playing ball to far foot.

Main Theme (opposed) (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Area as shown (20x15)

2. Two grids of 6 players (extra attacking player waiting in line)

Instructions:

1. Movement of players as shown

2. Neutral player plays the ball to red team and players play 2v2.

3. Neutral player cannot come inside grid but can be an option if the opporunity to go forward is not there.

4. Red score in goals. If defensive (blue) team win the ball they receive a point by passing the ball to the neutral player

Coaching Points:

1. 1st touch technique worked on in previous activities

2. Movement off the ball to create advantage in 2v2 scenario

3. Recognizing where pressure is coming from (checking over shoulder)
