Cushioned Return

Start with a light jog anti-clockwise around the circle, evenly spaced out players. Feed the ball in the air for a cushioned return with the right foot only. Once complete with all players, change direction and do the same for the left foot only.

Main coaching points:

* Players encouraged to 'break' from the outer circle to meet the ball early

* Players encouraged to cushion the return in a controlled manner, the coach should be able to remain in the same spot

One Touch Pass Return

As per the first progression, but this time with a pass on the floor. Player returns with one touch pass. As with first progression, pay particular attention to 'breaking' from the outer circle to meet the ball early. Repeat this progression on both feet, stepping up the intensity on the second go around.
