Small Side Transistion (25 mins)

Goal: This small sided soccer game focuses on developing soccer specific endurance, speed of play and possession. This small sided soccer game also develops the players' cognitive abilities, cooperation, reaction and transition.

Equipment

Small Cones: 8

Pinnies 3

Setup: 30x35 grid with 5x5 square in middle

Three players are placed into the smaller area against one opponent. Run for 2 minutes switch 3 in middle

Description: When defender touches or wins the ball she plays it out and at that moment the three players in the middle switch to defending. Defender who wins the ball has a resting period in the middle. Now in the bigger area a 7v3 possession is evolved.

Conditined game (Dribbling Arena) (30 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x40yd grid

2. Three teams of four/five players

Instructions:

1. Players play 4v4 or 5v5

2. 4 passes before taking shot

3. 4 minute games, winner stays on

3. Add in 2 touch max restriction

Coaching Points:

1. Dribble towards defender at speed

2. Accelerate into open space with control of the ball
