Screen 1 (15 mins)

Instructions:

Divide players into 4 groups, All groups move rotate in a clockwise direction. In each quadrant players must complete certain Ball Mastery Skill 5 times before the group can move on to the next quardent.

Suggested skills:

BOX 1

-Scissors

-Pull turns

BOX 2

-Keep up's

BOX 3

-Step over's

-U Turn's

BOX 4

-Keep Up's

Focus Points:

-Head Up. close control

-Preform each task slowly until technique is mastered, then perform at speed.

-High Intensity when moving to the next quardant.

David Beveridge (20 mins)

Passing and Receiving

 Players must look to drive the ball into their's partners area.

 Their partner must must attempt to control the ball without leaving their area.

 If the ball lands in the box, the player that made the pass gets a point.

 If the receiver controls the ball inside the area with 1 touch, they also receive a point.

 After players receive the ball they must open their body up and dribble in the opposite direction towards the cone that's placed behind them.

 As the player with the ball dribbles away, the player without the ball will check away, and once the player with the ball turns and faces, the player will check back to the ball.

 COACHING POINTS

 Receiving the ball with the back foot when receiving the the ball.

 Weight on the pass

 Accuracy

 Communication

 Eye Contact

 Heads up

 PROGRESSION

 Increase the distance

 Reduce the control area.

Warm down (20 mins)

Players make the pass against the rebound boxes, continues the run to recieve the the rebound take one touch to control when shoots on the 2nd touch
