Warm-Up: Core Foot Skills (15 mins)

ORGANIZATION:

Core Footwork moves - 1 ball/player in 10 x 10 yd grids

-Inside/insides x 5 at each cone in grid - work 30 secs, dribble slowly 60 secs

-Sole/Sole across body x 5 at each cone - work 30 secs, dribble slowly 60 secs

-Toe Taps x 5 at each cone - work 30 secs, dribble slowly 60 secs

-Inside/inside/toe tap x 5 at each cone - work 30 secs, dribble slowly 60 secs

-Outside/outside x 5 at each cone - work 30 secs, dribble slowly 60 secs

COACHING POINTS

1) Correct body shape - ball to side, 1 step away

2) Quick foot speed

3) High intensity

Ball Mastery in Air (15 mins)

ORGANIZATION

1 ball/2 players in each grid

Players juggle with 1 bounce in between

After 10 touches (laces/bounce/laces) players move to another grid

Progress to bounce, laces, laces with no bounce etc and other surfaces

COACHING POINTS

1) Good control (balance/technique)

2) Clean contact on ball

3) Head steady

4) Good focus for accuracy

ORGANIZATION

Players work in groups of 3

Player 1 chips ball to player 2

Player 2 allowed 1 bouch and plays to player 3

Player 3 allowed 1 bounce and then shoots at goal

Successful goal if enters net above ground

COACHING POINTS

Good chipoing technique - get under ball/ good flight of ball

Receiving -opening body up/early preparation

Timing/quality of pass/shooting in air
