4v3+GKs Fully opposed

Organization:

1. 2v1 in defensive half. 2v2 in attacking half. 2 Goalkeeper. 1 defeneder out.

2. 20x40 in halves plus cusions between end line and goals. (6-10 yards depending on shooting ability.)

3. Play for 3 minutes and rotate which players are in each half. Play for another 3 minutes and rotate who's attacking and defending.

Instructions:

1. Check sholder before checking/ receiving.

2. Decision making based on pressure. (Turn and face up if pressure is off. Combine if pressure is tight. Fake the pass and turn.)

3. Recognition of 2nd attacker not receiving to offer deeper support if pressure is tight on 1st attacker.

4. Timing of strikers movement to check for the ball. (When passer picks his head up.)

5. Can the blue player from defensive half get in to the attacking half quickly to make it a numbers up situation.

Coaching Points:

1. Check sholder before receiving.

2. Decision making based on pressure. (Turn if pressure is off. Combine if pressure is tight. Fake the bump and turn out.)

3. Recognition of 2nd attacker not receiving to offer deeper support if pressure is tight on 1st attacker.

4. Timing of strikers movement to check for the ball. (When passer picks his head up.)

5. Can the blue player from defendive half get in quickly to make it a numbers up situation.

Progressions:

1. Two points if final player scores on second touch.

2. Once ball goes into attacking half, attackers have 10 seconds to score.

3. Once Gk serves the ball, attackers have 12 seconds to score.

Conditioned Game

Organization:

1. 60x 20 in halves. Shaded areas are GK box.

2. 4v4 plus GKs in a 1-2-1.

Instructions:

1. When the team in possession moves the ball across the half way line they have ten seconds to score. (Coach in counting out loud.) If the can't score in ten second they can reset by passing back to the defensive half and going again.

2. Decision making based on pressure. (Turn and face up if pressure is off. Combine if pressure is tight. Fake the pass and turn.)

3. Recognition of 2nd attacker not receiving to offer deeper support if pressure is tight on 1st attacker.

4. Timing of strikers movement to check for the ball. (When passer picks his head up.)

5. Can the blue player from defensive half get in to the attacking half quickly to make it a numbers up situation.

6. Reset to defender or GK if nothing is available forward.

Progressions:

1. If a player scores on his second touch it's worth 2 points.
