Organization:
1. Half field set up as shown
2. 19 players (2 teams of 8, 2 neutrals, 1 GK) set up as shown
3. Lots of balls
Instructions:
1. The activity starts with one of the central player passing to the wide player who runs onto the pass
2. The wide player then passes to the neutral who sets the ball back to the wide player to cross
3. Central players make runs into the area with the opposite wide player running in round the back
4. Activity restarts from the central players of the opposite team
5. Servers alternate sides each time
6. Play for set time limit and rotate servers and neutrals
Coaching Points:
1. Angle of approach – off center
2. Head up to observe your target area – second six yard box
3. Head down at the point of contact
4. Non kicking foot placed to side, slight behind the ball
5. Contact ball – middle above the mid line
6. Pull hips round to face the target at contact
7. Body weight forward chest and knee over the ball at contact
Progressions:
1. P – Two central players cross over before playing out wide
2. P – Add a central defender

Instructions:
1. The activity starts with player 1 dribbling down the line before turning and passing to player 2
2. Player 2 sets players 3 who passes out to player 4
3. Player 4 now dribbles down the line and crosses for players 2 and 3 who have attacked the penalty area
4. The defenders are not allowed to win the ball but are allowed to track the attackers run
5. The spare player behind player 1 starts the activity again
6. The activity runs twice from one side then twice from the other

1. Quality of pass and receiving
2. Crossing technique being used
3. Quality of runs and finishing
Progressions:
1. P – Defenders are allowed to win the ball

1. All players must stay in their designated areas
2. Wide players are unopposed
3. When attacking, one player from the defending half of the field must drop off to create a 3 v 2
4. Defender must push up every time they are in possession to create space in behind
5. Game is restarted from GK every time

2. Crossing technique being used
3. Quality of forwards movement and finishing
Progressions:
1. P – Wide players can defend after being nut megged (ball played through defenders legs)
2. P – Inside players can combine with wide players with an overlap

Organization:
1. Circle, 40 yards in diameter set up as shown
2. 12 players (8 Attackers, 4 Defenders) set up as shown
3. 4 balls (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1. Players score by getting ball into defenders hands
2. Players on the outside play different combinations with each other until a defender asks for the ball
3. Player with the ball now crosses into defenders hands who then throws the ball back
4. Defenders move from player to player
5. Play for set time period then rotate players
Coaching Points:
1. Head up, observe target
2. Head down, observe the ball
3. Technique (Specific one being used – Refer to technical guidelines)
Progressions:
1. P – Player not crossing the ball can close down to add mild pressure to the crosser
2. P – Player not crossing closes down the defender who then serves the ball up. Attacker then heads the ball between the defenders legs
