Defending 10x5 (40 mins)

Set Up

40x40 area

3 teams of 5 (different colours)

2 teams keep possession (red & blue) vs 1 defending team (yellow)

Defending team defends for 1:30m

Progressions

Scenario 1. Defending team see how many times they can break up play by passing the ball outside the area in time allocated.

2. When defending team wins the ball back they have to keep possession for a long as possible. Ball must stay in area.

3. Team defends for as long as it takes to regain the ball. Team that losses possession will then defend.

Defending in units 3-4s. Stay as team do not chase the ball individually.
