Basic recieving and passing (10 mins)
Basic recieving and passing.
Groups: each group 4 players....can work with 3, just make the distance shorter.
Equipment: per group - 2 cones; 1 ball, plus 6 extra
Difficulty Level: Easy
Rotation: A --> B --> A
Coach:
Structure: groups of 4, 2 at each end (about 23mtrs apart). The ball starts at position A. The first player runs with the ball for a few mtrs and then passes to the first player at B. After the pass, player 1 follows the ball and runs to the other side, joining behind the 2nd player on that side. The player recieving the ball does exaclty the same...making it a loop.
Pointers: Consentrating on good basic skills.
- Strong recieve out in front.
- Keeping the ball in front of you when moving off, good vision, and making a good pass to the forehand.
Variations: Push, sweep, hit (short grip and long).
