Warm Up (10 mins)

Diagional Passing Diamond (12 min)

Ball starts on the corners. Both corners start at the same time. Two touch. Play to players nearest to 18 to start & follow your ball. Next player plays diagonal & follows. Next plays to corner player & follows. GK plays one with foot one with hands. 3 minutes. 40 x 20 area.

DURATION: 12 min

INTENSITY: Meduim

INTERVALS: 12-15

WORK:*REST 3:1

Variations:

3 minutes switch direction continue two touch

3 minutes switch direction move to one touch

3 minutes switch direct conture one touch

Move GK to red cones, pick up yellow cones & relocate lines to blue cones. Ball starts with GK, both GK plays to blue line to the left #3, #3 plays to #5, #5 plays to # 2, #2 plays to GK to right. switch direction after 3 min. two touch

Coaching Points: Firm balls, control front foot play back foot, connect with front foot, ask for ball/make eye contact

Warm Up 2 (10 mins)

Playing out of the "U" Shape (12 min)

Move GK to red cones, pick up yellow cones & relocate lines to blue cones. Ball starts with GK, both GK plays to blue line to the left #3, #3 plays to #5, #5 plays to #4, #4 plays to #3, #3 connects to #7. GK rotates playing with feet to playing with hands. Switch direction after 3 min. Two touch. 50 x 50 area.

INTENSITY: Meduim

INTERVALS: 12-15

WORK:*REST 3:1

Variations:

3 minutes switch direction continue two touch

Sm Sided Activity (20 mins)

Build Up Out of the Back (20 min)

Ball Starts with GK, GK connects to back line, Green plays posession in the field. Every 3 passes that Green connects, 1 yellow steps in to attack. Upon a yellow winning posession all of the yellows are in. Green may score on the wide goals once all yellows are on. Play alway restart with GK. Rotate GK's. Encourage the Green to play their GK

DURATION: 20 min

INTENSITY: Meduim-High

INTERVALS: 10-12

WORK:*REST 5:1

Variation: Remove red cone, add yellow players to the field & allow players to learn from continued play

Coaching Points: Tuck in to play compact in defense, open up & create "U" shape along back line in posession, Offer good angles of support, keep body shape open to receive, when attack opens up-move the ball quckly

Expanded Sm Sided Game (20 mins)

9 v 4 Playing out of the back (20 min)

Green plays in a 1-4-3-2 (No 10 & 9). Yellow roatates two groups of 4. Ball always starts with Green GK. On each posession, Green must play in the GK before they may score. Assign each yellow group different pressing assignments, low, high, etc.

DURATION: 20 min

INTENSITY: Meduim-High

INTERVALS: 8-10

WORK:*REST 2:1

Coaching Points: Play Gk to the side of the goal (Nothing strait on goal), play to the lead foot to get the player a positive first touch, look for cues to play out
