Small Sided Numbers Turning Game

Set up like above. 15y by 15y area. 4 sets of gates where players have to dribble through to score. Two teams, a red team and a white team.

Each player on each team is given a number, when coach calls their number, 1 player from each team will come into the middle and contest a ball. The person who gets the ball looks to turn using one we have practice and dribble through one of the four gates to score a point.

Progression:

- Coach calls out more than one number, can they combine and score?

- Instead of dribbling through a gate, coach puts a ball on a cone on each side and they have to combine and knock the ball off the cone to score a point.

Coaching; good use of the body to shield the ball, quick turns, quick speed, change direction, pass at the right time in the 2v2
