Dynamic Warmup (5 mins)

Dynamic Warmup

-Two lines start inside the cones

-Do everything twice(Jog, Buttkickers/high knees, open/close the gate, highkicks/kickbacks, buildups)

-Colton Thompson(Captain) should lead the warmups and know how to do everything

**It is very important that these boys have a solid warmup. You need to get on them harder and harder as the warmup goes on. They need to be focused before the first whistle, otherwise the first 10 mins will be horrible**

Technical Warmup (15 mins)

Technical Warmup= #1

(This should last about 5-10 mins depending on how much time you have)

-Have two passing lines with cones about 5yds apart

-Play 2 touch in the beginning and progress to 1 touch (You can make the grids bigger if the boys are focused and having clean touches)

-On the 1 touch, make the boys say the name of the person across from them (Check Out)

-Progress into volleys and then ending with headers

Possesion Based Warmups= #2

-Take the starting 11(excluding the goalie), and play 7v3 in the corner. The 3 defensive players should be holding pennies in their hand

-Change the 3 defenders about every minute

-Encourage the boys to play quick as possible making sure that every pass is sharp and the boys are focused

-The non-starters should be warming up the keeper while the 7v3 is going on

Formation and Subs

TEAM FORMATION- 4-4-2

-Tell the boys that disciplined defense is key to a win. Have been working on getting compact when we lose possession. Expand when we win the ball

-Stay patient in attack and wait for your chances

-Not everything has to be direct

NOTE: Will push 8 into an attacking mid role and play 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield when we need a goal!

SUBS

-Colton Thompson CONCUSSION (Captain, can play anywhere in the front 4 i.e 9,10, 7, 11)

-Sam Wilder(GK, 10, 9, 11, or 7)

-Kevin Conlon(Either 6, 8, or 3)

-I want to experiment with Ethan Hansen in the 10 role, has played 11 all season but could be something special. (11 or 7)
