warm ups (15 mins)

1. Players go through the ladder, two feet per rung.

2. Two foot hops over hurdles.

3. Slide through the disc cones and sprint to the end of the line.

4. Perform 10 times each.

4 v 1 passing (15 mins)

1. Set up several 10 x 10 squares with 4 players on the cones and one in the middle.

2. The players are only allowed to one touch the ball to the other players while the one in the middle tries to steal the ball.

3. If an outside player makes an erroneous pass or the middle player steals it,she leaves the square, the middle player takes her spot, and a new middle comes from the line.

Emphasize the position of the body when they pass the ball and also quick feet and talking.

5 v 3 (20 mins)

1. Set up 20 x 20 fields with mini goals.

2. One team has five player, who can only two touch.

3. The team of three have unlimited touches.

4. If a player on the team of 5 has more than one touch, or she loses the ball, she must take a knee until her team wins the ball back.

Emphasize: Communication, counter attacking (team of 3), good passing, off ball movement

3 v 3 in the box (20 mins)

1. Coach is at the top of the box serving balls in.

2. Split the team up into two equal teams.

3. On signal, the teams send 3 players into the box to play 3 v 3 until a score is made or the ball is kicked out of bounds or out of the box. Either team can shoot when they get possession of the ball.

4. Coach serves in 10 balls before switching players. Keep a running score.

Star shooting (15 mins)

1. Split the team up into 4 groups. The players next to the goal are the passers and lines 3 and 4 are the shooters.

2. Line 1 passes to line 3 who takes a one touch shot.

3. After line 3 shoots, line 2 passes to line 4 to shoot.

4. Players shag their shots and switch lines with the passers.

4 v 2 in box (20 mins)

1. Blue team plays with 4 players in the box and red team with 2 initially. Players fight for possession.

2. If the team of 2 steals the ball, they can shoot immediately or set up a shot.

3. Coach serves 10 balls each turn.

4. Next turn, the red team should have 4 players out and blue team 2 players.

5. Keep a running score.

Emphasize: passing, off ball movement, communication, decision making
